7 months!

I can't believe that Emily is already 7 months old!  She finally started rolling over and as long as she's on the ground, she never stops.  She still doesn't have any teeth which is fine with me since she's a biter.  She's getting pretty good about sitting on her own but still needs some help.  She's so easygoing, just goes with the flow.  She loves watching her sister, playing in her saucer and bouncy seat and watching herself in the mirror.  She has the biggest, most kissable cheeks that I have ever seen.  They're so big and heavy that they actually hang down past her chin!  She hates having to wait for anything.  It's about the only time that you'll hear her cry.

Happy girl!

Emily's rolling over

It seems as if Emily is going to be the child that does nothing, then all of a sudden is a pro at something. For a few months, she's been struggling to roll either way. Then today, a couple of days before turning 7 months, she's steam rolling across her room. Guess its time to baby proof!

Words from Olivia's mouth

This morning on the way to school:
Olivia: Mommy, I want to see what you looked like when you got married.
Me: Okay, we'll look at the pictures when we get home.
Olivia: Mommy, I saw a picture of Grammy (my Mom) when she got married.  She wasn't old and Papa was young and he didn't have white hair!

The things that girl says.

Olivia's Admirer

For some reason, boys are drawn to Olivia. There are at least a few boys at her school that have major crushes on her. One even gave her a gift today - a heart shaped pillow. Boy are we in trouble!!

Bowling Fun

Saturday we took Olivia bowling for the first time.  Cody's sister and two kids came along.  Can I just say that Olivia had a blast!  I really haven't seen her having that much fun in a long time.  We'll definitely be going back soon!

Visit to the State Fair

The weekend before I went back to work the girls and I went to the State Fair with my parents.  We used to go when my brother and I were kids, long before Katie was born and we loved it back then.  We were even interviewed on the local news one time; my Dad has pics of it.  Let me just say that the fair wasn't like I remembered it but we still had a great time.

She was in love with this longhorn calf

These 15 piglets were less than a day old.  Can you imagine Moms out there??  15??

Firefighter Liv.  She even coordinates with the truck, planned in advance of course!!  And yes, that is her second outfit of the day if you didn't notice before.

Happy 4th of July - 2 months late!

Summer of Fun - Lake Tulloch

This summer we decided to take a family trip to Lake Tulloch.  We rented a house right on the lake with it's own private beach for a week.  We spent half the trip with my family and half the trip with Cody's family.  We can't wait until next summer when we can go back.  Some of the highlights were boating (obviously), panning for gold, zip lining, and visiting Columbia (which is where we took that AWESOME picture you see to your right).

Summer of Fun - gymnastics and swimming

Olivia had a busy summer with me being off on maternity leave.  She took her first swim lessons and Grammie was nice enough to sign her up for gymnastics classes.  She loved every minute of it and still asks when she's going back!

Walking on the beam.  The first time she did it by herself and got in trouble.  Typical...

Summer of Fun

I feel like I can't start a new blog with what we did this past weekend so I'll backtrack to our summer outings.  We had some camping trips, visited Gilroy Gardens quite a few times, welcomed a new member to the extended family (welcome Kendall!!), took a family trip to a lake house, visited the State Fair, and attended some swim and gymnastics classes.  It was definitely nice being home all summer!
